School Description

Johnson County Community College(JCCC) was established following a successful county-wide election in the favor of forming a community school in Johnson county in the year 1967. JCCC was officially opened to start classes in the year 1969 in Overland Park.

Today, Johnson County Community College is the second largest institution of higher education in the state of Kansas. JCCC upholds national reputation for educational excellence and student outcomes for 50 years now.     To be considered for JCCC scholarships and priority awarding, you must:

    a) Have a current JCCC application for admission on file.

    b) Be degree- or certificate-seeking.

    c) Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is not required but encouraged to be completed before the priority deadline, so you can be considered for need-based scholarships.

    d) Incoming high school students — submit your official 7th semester high school transcript early to be on file before the priority deadline.

    e) Complete the JCCC Scholarship Application before the April 1 priority deadline.
