School Description

Humber College was established in 1965 under its founding President, Gordon Wragg. Its first section opened on Monday, September 11, 1967, at James Bell Elementary School, a public school on Lake Shore Boulevard West. In the early 1970s, student enrollment was rapidly increasing which led to expanding its reach and technology programs at both Campuses (North and Lakeshore)

Today, Humber College has 3 campuses; Humber North, Lakeshore and Orangeville Campuses. Its award-winning faculty and students have over 27,000 full time and 50,000 part-time students. 150 programs are offered in 40 areas of study and 8 academic schools. Humber College has the highest application rate of all Ontario colleges and became Canada's largest college with over 27,000 full-time and 50,000 part-time learners.
