School Description

Arapahoe Community College was established in 1965 following a movement by Littleton residents demanding formation of a higher education institute to provide post-high school education in the area. The college was started as Arapahoe Junior college with an initial enrollment of 550 students. In the year 1970, Arapahoe Junior College was transformed into Arapahoe Community College upon its joining of the Colorado Community College System.

Arapahoe Community College's main campus in Littleton sprawls across 51 acres in the greater Denver area and houses about 18,000 students annually on an average.
