College of the Atlantic

School Description

COA was chartered by a small group of educators and community members who saw in Mount Desert Island a great year-round location for learning, and were excited to use human ecology as a guiding, interdisciplinary approach to education. COA is among the colleges that have achieved the most significant positive movement in the U.S. News ranking over the last five years, jumping up more than 40 spots on the list.
