School Description

Cleveland State University (CSU) was established as a state-assisted university in 1964. However, the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law's roots can be traced back to 1897 with the establishment of the Cleveland Law School. The John Marshall School of Law was founded in 1916, and in 1946, the two schools merged to form the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.

Cleveland State University has over 17,000 students enrolled, with a third of CSU students being graduate students. CSU has also seen a gradual increase of international students. In 2014, there was a 15% increase in international student enrollments. The CSU campus is evolving to better accommodate the growing number of student enrollment. A total of $500 million dollars is being invested on renovating the different buildings that make up the CSU campus.
