Looking back at my time at CNU, the high level of education and interaction with my professors was amazing and I think really unique. My program specifically was full of such great professors and offered such opportunities to add real life experience to help enrich my experience. The field work that I was able to do in Africa and in Central America was absolutely essential to my choice of furthering my education with a Master's program in Anthropology. Thanks to CNU and the Sociology Department (Robert Durel, Joe Healey, Lea Pellet) for a great foundation for my education!

CNC (now CNU) was a great small campus with excellent faculty and facilities. Throughout the years, it has expanded and changed into a different type of school with on-site dorms and changes in program offerings, but the quality of education does not appear to have diminished.

I loved my time at CNU. I had incredible faculty that continue to impact me today. The atmosphere was incredible, hopeful, and challenging. I didn't appreciate it fully until I left for graduate school and watched my new cohort struggle through readings and concepts I had become familiar with as a sophomore. The campus is beautiful and growing. If you need more proof of what a great place this is, the school was recently given the honor of an incredible recommendation by the ACTA: http://www.goacta.org/news/christopher_newport_university_becomes_only_public_institution_in_the_count
