School Description
Founded in 1825, Centenary College Of Louisiana is the oldest chartered liberal arts college west of the Mississippi River. Centenary College's campus spans sixty-five acres and is located two miles south of downtown Shreveport. The Dr. Ed Leuck Academic Arboretum, located in the heart of campus, is home to more than 300 species of plant life. Calhoun Allen (1921–1991) - Mayor of Shreveport from 1970 to 1978 was one of the most notable alumni of the college.
