Carleton College

School Description

Carleton College was founded in 1866, and is the fourth oldest private institution of higher education in the state of Minnesota. The college has witnessed plenty of growth both to the student enrollment and to the campus. Some of the addition on campus included the opening of the Recreation Center in 2000, and the installation of a wind turbine, which was the first college owned turbine in the US.

Carleton College has nearly 2000 students that represent 50 US states and 35 different countries. The college offers Bachelor of Arts degree, with over 1000 courses in 32 majors available. The campus covers 1,040 acres, and 96% of students live on campus. Students at Carleton College have many opportunities to be active on campus, with over 250 student organizations available.
