Pre-Law (Capital University)
The pre-law program at Capital University is designed to ready students for law school and a future legal career by having them complete 120 credit hours over the course of four years. Paired with a major of their choice, pre-law students will take a variety of recommended electives and receive a strong liberal arts education, which the American Bar Association recommends for admission to law school. A major goal of this program is to effectively prepare students to pass the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT).
Apart from gaining the skills and knowledge necessary to begin the process of pursuing a legal career, the pre-law program also gives students the opportunity to find both internships and job opportunities that will give them practical experience in the field. Participants also have the option to take an accelerated pre-law program that allows them complete both their Bachelor of Arts degree and Juris Doctor degree within a six-year time period.
