Music Education (Capital University)
The Bachelor of Music in music education program at Capital University provides students with the opportunity to expand their knowledge of music. Undergraduates who choose to study music education can acquire a deeper appreciation for the subject while learning how to share their love of the craft through teaching.
Before beginning the program, students are required to gain admittance to Capital University’s Conservatory of Music. Through rigorous training, undergraduates in the music education program can develop their talent by taking courses in subjects such as conducting and musicianship. Students are also encouraged to explore different options during their studies and can choose from three different tracks: instrumental, vocal or dual.
Students who enroll in the music education program can find themselves well prepared for life after college. The in-depth field experience and student teaching requirements that the university offers help to ensure that students are adequately trained for a teaching position. Some students even choose to study abroad during the program, providing them with valuable international experience.
