Environmental Studies (Capital University)
The BA curriculum for environmental studies at Capital University is designed to prepare students for real-world experiences in solving environmental problems at local and global levels. This 74-credit program provides students with a strong foundation in the biological and physical sciences while also including courses in economics and public policy that are invaluable to understanding the role of governments and businesses in environmental policies.
The four-year program offers opportunities for experiential learning through internships and international field courses to enhance undergraduate research and study. Students in this program can expect to be prepared for further graduate studies, as well as a wide variety of careers in environmental restoration and natural resource management for both the private and the public sectors. As a rapidly expanding discipline of study, research experiences in environmental studies will prepare students to have the knowledge and ability to influence public policy and help to solve complex environmental issues.
