BioChemistry (Capital University)
Students seeking a BA in biochemistry at Capital University will have the opportunity to learn firsthand about modern genomics and bioinformatic methods of research in Genome Consortium for Active Teaching. This 68-76 credit program offers enhanced laboratory experiences in all four years of study to better prepare students for research in professional or academic settings. Participants will also have the opportunity to use DNA microarrays in a dedicated biochemistry laboratory while studying gene expression patterns of microorganisms.
The biochemistry curriculum aims to prepare undergraduate students for graduate school and careers in biochemistry, bioinformatics, molecular biology, and a wide variety of careers in medicine and health.
