Art History (Capital University)
With a focus on either art education, art therapy, or studio art, this four-year art program requires the completion of 120 credit hours at Capital University. The main goal of this program is to help students with a passion for art develop their skills, become educated in the history of art, and find opportunities to gain valuable experience off-campus.
Each individual participating in this art program will work with professors who are skilled artists and who help each student grow artistically to receive a thorough fine arts education. With plenty of off-campus internship opportunities to pursue, students can apply their skills in their specific areas of interest. Participants will also be urged to participate in local art competitions and can have their art showcased in the Schumacher Gallery on an annual basis. After completion of this program, students can pursue a variety of art-related careers or continue their education by choosing and enrolling in a graduate program.
