Depending on students’ teaching goals, there are a variety of degree options including instruction and curriculum for elementary education, dual language growth, secondary education curriculum and instruction, mathematics education and early childhood education. While courses taken will vary depending on which of these five options participants choose, the goal of any teacher education program is to prepare them for teaching in their selected field.

Classes focus on developing curriculum and assessments, improving research skills, applying learned theories, understanding current issues in education, building relationships with both students and parents and effective classroom management. Upon completion of this program, students will meet the requirements and standards necessary for them to start teaching in their chosen field.
