Program Description

California State University, Long Beach's management program prepares students to manage businesses in a wide range of industries. The program focuses on teaching effective organization techniques for a global business environment by stressing foundations of theory, philosophy, and practicality.

The business administration degree, with an option in management, requires a minimum of 120 credit units, which takes most students about four years to complete. Lower division courses, such as accounting, and upper division courses, such as international business, are requirements. A critical thinking course is also necessary before beginning the management option, which teaches students international business policy, project management, and supply chain management, among other important information. Human resource management is another option for hopeful students.

The management program teaches students to become effective managers both domestically and internationally. Those who are interested in taking their management knowledge even further can go on to complete a graduate program to earn a Master of Business Administration.
