Butler Community College
School Description
Butler Community College was established in 1927 as El Dorado Junior College. It started out as a public, two-year, co-educational institution. Butler is the second largest community college in Kansas and the sixth largest educational institute in the state. Every year more than 13,000 students benefit from Butler’s small classes and nurturing environment. Butler offers more than 90 different academic programs and welcomes people from various ethnic backgrounds from all over the US and the world. Butler also offers a diverse athletic programs including soccer, softball, baseball, basketball, volleyball, and track and field amongst others.
Butler is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, the National League for Nursing and the Kansas State Board of Nursing. Lack of English language skills are not a barrier to admission either.
