School Description
British Columbia Institute of Technology was founded in 1960 as BC Vocational School, and six years later it celebrated its first graduates. In 1996, the Bachelor of Technology degree in Environmental Engineering Technology was offered, becoming the first bachelors degree to be offered at BCIT. In 2007, the Aerospace Technology Campus was opened.
With five campuses, BCIT has become one of Canada's leading educational institutions in Business, Technology and Trade programs. BCIT has almost 50,000 students enroll annually, with 2,400 international students from 85 countries. The small class sizes at BCIT means that there will be a better relationship between the faculty and the students. The support offered for international students include 'English conversation groups' that help improve your English language. As well as assistance with your academic life and your life in the city of Vancouver.
