Bob Jones University

School Description

Bob Jones University was established in 1927 by evangelist Bob Jones Sr. The purpose of the institution was to be a training center for Christians from around the world. In 1946, the institution began constructing its new campus in South Carolina, and a year later, it officially became Bob Jones University. In 2006, the university was granted accreditation by the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools.

Bob Jones University has around 3000 students, with 66% of them living on campus. Students have many ways to be involved on campus, either by joining one of the many societies, Fine Arts events that include art and music. In addition, BJU has many traditions and activities that include skating nights, picnics, and class parties.
