Beloit College
School Description
Beloit College was established in 1846 as a result of the joint effort of seven New Englanders. Five year later, the college started granting its first degrees, making it widely known for its developing scholastic excellence in the following years. Despite two World Wars, Beloit College managed to respond to challenges and continued to develop its academic programs over the years.
Today, Beloit College's Wisconsin campus sits on 40 acres of wooded land that boasts of 28 buildings that house its 31 academic departments through which the college offers over 80 undergraduate majors and minors to more than 1,200 students representing 46 states and nearly 40 foreign countries. Beloit College also ensures personal attention to learners with an average class size of 15 students taught by a faculty made up of 95% Ph.D. holders.
