Barclay College's history dates back to the year 1917, when the first secondary school in Kiowa County in Kansas, Friends Haviland Academy, opened the Kansas Central Bible Training School pastors and missionaries training and preparation with a strong evangelistic emphasis. In 1975, following growing support, it was granted full accreditation to provide four-year education until finally becoming Barclay College in 1990.
Today, Barclay College sits on a 20-acre campus that houses 8 major buildings, include 3 residence halls that can accommodate nearly 200 students. It currently offers 12 bachelor's degree programs and 7 minors, as well as 6 master's degree programs. Barclay College currently enrolls nearly 200 students on campus with a retention rate of over 70%.
