School Description

Woodbury University is a private, non-profit,nonsectarian university located in Burbank, Los Angeles County; a satellite campus in San Diego, both in southern California. It offers undergraduate degrees from four schools: Architecture; Business; Media, Culture & Design; and Liberal Arts, and graduate degrees from two schools: Architecture and Business. Woodbury University was founded as Woodbury College in 1884 by F.C. Woodbury. In 1926, the institution was chartered by the State of California to award undergraduate, and graduate degrees. Today, the revered University is accredited by five accrediting organisations including the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, National Architectural Accrediting Board, and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

There are over 1,200 students enrolled at Woodbury University. A sizeable 25.7% of the student body consists of international students - the university prides itself on their diversity, and students from all walks of life are sure to feel right at home! International students are assigned an International Peer Advisor who are on hand to help students settle into life on campus. Fun events designed to have students experience Southern Californian culture are routinely planned by the university, in addition to, the events hosted by the numerous student-led organisations. For extra measure, students can attend "International Student Workshops" to ensure a smooth transition to life in America. Academic Advisors, Peer Mentors, Success Workshops, and the Tutoring and Writing Center provide academic support to all students, and Career Services help students lay the foundations of a successful post-university career.

    Financial Aid & Scholarship

    A $6,000 International Scholarship is available for international students with a 3.0 GPA (or higher). The scholarship is renewable for 4 years.  Students in the School of Architecture may renew the scholarship for 5 years as long as the 3.0 GPA is maintained while at Woodbury
