Wilkes University - Bachelor's Degree
Wilkes University as we know it today began in 1933 when Bucknell University established its Junior College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. In 1947, Wilkes College became an independent, nondenominational four-year college, with programs in the arts, sciences, and a number of professional fields. The school was designated as Wilkes University in 1990.
Wilkes University opened the School of Pharmacy (in 1996), the Nesbitt School of Pharmacy at Wilkes University (1999), the Jay S. Sidhu School of Business & Leadership (2004), the Henry Student Center (2005), and the Cohen Science Center (2013). Today, Wilkes University enrolls around 2,000 full-time students from 19 states and a dozen other countries. The University is regionally accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, in addition to having professional accreditations as well.
