The migration from high school to college can often times be a very frightening, life changing experience. The atmosphere at Wesleyan made that transition easier, because you feel a part of instead of on the outside looking in. The diversity of students, the quality of education and caring from the entire college staff made me feel a part of instead of just a number. I had numerous choices to select from and I am glad I did select Wesleyan. In fact while at Wesleyan, I thought bigger was better and transferred out my Junior year, only to realize very quickly that Wesleyan was the place for me and transferred back! It helped pave the foundation for the years to come.

There is something about Wesleyan that separates it from any other school. The relationships that you make here are lifelong - and I don't just mean with fellow students! I don't know of any other college or university where you are invited to your profs house for dinner, or invited to spend the night at their house when you pass through town as an alum! It's the people that make this school home. As alums, we're scattered, but there's extended family here, even among people who didn't cross paths with each other before!
