          • Testimony
            2002-2006, Bachelor of Arts

Wellesley helped me feel empowered to take on challenges. Most recently, I was a VC, and today I am a student at Stanford Graduate School of Business. Finance and technology are, still today, male dominated fields. Only 4% of senior VCs are women. My commitment to Wellesley constantly inspires me to change that. When I first decided to go to Wellesley, I chose it because it was the best school I got into, according to U.S. News, but I have since realized it offered so much more. Since graduating Wellesley, I realize that my strongest relationships come from my classmates and alumnae. When meeting new Wellesley alums, there is an instant, differentiated, shared experience. This is critical in building friendships and career mentors alike. Wellesley is still a part of my daily life. I speak with college classmates everyday, and I push myself to achieve with a greater mission in mind. If you are interested in talking more about Wellesley, I would be happy to connect!

          • Testimony
            2004-2008, BA

When I was making my decision for college, I wanted to set myself up for the highest likelihood of future career success. Wellesley did not disappoint. Here are my top 5 reasons for going to Wellesley: 1) Excellent faculty, especially in the Economics department 2) Incredible opportunity for leadership (I was lucky enough to be a voting member on two different trustee committees, a very rare experience) 3) Fantastic learning environment (caring professors, small classes) 4) Stats like this: Only 2% of American female college graduates attend women's schools but graduates of women's colleges comprise more than 20% of women in Congress & represent 30% of a Businessweek list of rising women in corporate America." http://www.forbes.com/sites/rachelhennessey/2013/02/06/whats-in-a-womens-college/ 5) The amazing support of the Alumnae Network #5 is why I still feel I continue to derive value from my undergraduate education 5+ years after graduation and the reason why I donate to the college every year. If you have applied and are trying to make a decision to go to Wellesley, I'd be happy to speak with you.

            1980-1984, Bachelor’s Degree

I attended Wellesley College in the 80's and have to say as corny as it sounds, it changed my life. I developed confidence, critical thinking, global awareness, sharp writing skills and the ability to get things done. All that on the most beautiful campus in the world with a peaceful lake, wise old trees, historic brick buildings, lush green lawns, arboretums and ponds, observatory and museum, modern student union, and a thoughtful multi-faith center. I did receive financial aid but it was all worth it! I conduct interviews in the Bay Area for potential candidates. If I am still gushing about the place 30 years later, that tells you something...
