            Wellesley helped me feel empowered to take on challenges. Most recently, I was a VC, and today I am a student at Stanford Graduate School of Business. Finance and technology are, still today, male dominated fields. Only 4% of senior VCs are women. My commitment to Wellesley constantly inspires me to change that. When I first decided to go to Wellesley, I chose it because it was the best school I got into, according to U.S. News, but I have since realized it offered so much more. Since graduating Wellesley, I realize that my strongest relationships come from my classmates and alumnae. When meeting new Wellesley alums, there is an instant, differentiated, shared experience. This is critical in building friendships and career mentors alike. Wellesley is still a part of my daily life.             I attended Wellesley College in the 80's and have to say as corny as it sounds, it changed my life. I developed confidence, critical thinking, global awareness, sharp writing skills and the ability to get things done. All that on the most beautiful campus in the world with a peaceful lake, wise old trees, historic brick buildings, lush green lawns, arboretums and ponds, observatory and museum, modern student union, and a thoughtful multi-faith center. I did receive financial aid but it was all worth it! I conduct interviews in the Bay Area for potential candidates. If I am still gushing about the place 30 years later, that tells you something...
