The Redlands Accounting program differs from programs in many business schools because we believe that a rigorous, liberal arts education is the most effective foundation for a career in professional accounting. While our students do acquire the specific business and accounting knowledge necessary to pass professional examinations and join the accounting profession, we are most proud of the development of their intellectual and analytical capabilities, interpersonal and communication skills and their commitments to integrity, self-motivation and lifelong learning.

Astronomy is the application of one or more of the physical sciences to the universe beyond the Earth. Astronomy has a vibrant amateur community whose interests and activities run the full range from simple stargazing to professional quality observation and research.

The astronomy minor is intended for either non-science majors who wish to explore their astronomical interests, up to and including basic astronomical observation and research, or science majors who wish to augment their major through exposure to astronomy and the planetary sciences.

Unless a student majors in one of the physical sciences, meeting the minimum requirements for the astronomy minor will not prepare one for graduate work in astronomy. However, it will allow one to develop a competence in the theories, tools and techniques of astronomical discovery as used by professionals and amateurs alike.

When you think about prestigious private Universities, the word competitive comes to mind immediately. This University has done so much for me as an individual to ensure that I am given everything needed to succeed in my studies including personalizing my class schedules to fit a work life and allowing student-professor direct communication outside of the classroom. Personally, I am studying at three different schools right now, the University of Redlands being one of them, and the balance I've found here is amazing. I definitely wish to recommend this University to anyone who is serious about pursuing their higher education, especially in the field of Business. I can honestly say that I am more than thankful for this opportunity and look forward to helping others in my cohort succeed in their studies. My personal goals at this University are not only to attain my BS Degree and a Master's Degree in Business, but also to be inducted into the Whitehead Leadership Society. I strongly believe that this school has the necessary tools to help me achieve these goals and far after I attain them in my professional career path. With that said, I am positive that if you are a competitive individual looking for a challenging and nurturing environment, this is the school for you

University of Redlands offers a quality degree for both Graduate and Undergraduate candidates. The university is not only interested in your enrollment but ultimately your success. This is shown throughout by the different programs that one can engage in (such as: Whitehead Leadership Society, BANTA center for Business, Ethics and society, Center for Business GIS and Spatial Analysis, Mentorship programs, and robust international study abroad programs). The resources are there, the staff is cheerful and happy to help you, and everyone wants to hear of your successes. The education obtained is also top notch. Employers widely recognize Redland's graduates with a higher caliber of candidacy. The conceptual learning can be taken from the classroom into the workplace setting for immediate application, making this a form of poly-technical learning (more hands on/interactive). I would recommend the UofR to anyone seeking a holistic education an not just a degree.

I love the University of Redlands!! It is a very special place for me. I attended part-time, at night, while working full-time in a pretty demanding IT (tech) day-job. Although I missed the energy and school spirit that students who attended during the day enjoyed, it embraced me nonetheless. Redlands taught me how to think, question and arrive at my own conclusions and, then, to think again. It is where I first fell in love with poets and literary giants, where I first discovered the many philosophies that make our world what it is today, where I first unearthed the power of the written word, where I learned computer programming, where I found my passion for learning, and where I first learned to shoot for the stars. University of Redlands is a very special place indeed and I highly recommend this university.
