          • Testimony
            2009-2014, Bachelor's Degree

UMC leads the way in online educationI recently graduated with my degree in Bachelors in Manufacturing Management, totally completed online. I will admit when I started in 2009, I was a bit sceptical about online learning, but from my very first class that changed. As a student you can be as involved as you wish. The technology makes it possible to interact with the other students almost as well as being on campus. The teachers are very responsive, some even promote using Skype as a communication method. Moodle is a widely used interactive web tool that is quickly growing in school systems across Minnesota, my three children started using it in grade school to enhance their homework capabilities and offsite teacher interaction. UMC has continually grown in its online degree programs and I learned that it recently was voted one of the top universities in online education. Having that and recently U.S. News and World Report voted UMC the top midwestern regional university out of 350+ schools makes me proud to be a UMC alumni.

Online classes still felt interpersonal!Having attained the majority of my major online, I only visited the University of Minnesota Crookston twice! That being said, I still felt like I knew most of my classmates and instructors. The classroom interaction was very beneficial.
