United States Naval Academy - Bachelor's Degree

United States Naval Academy is the second oldest of the five federal service academies. Students, known as midshipmen, are officers in training and their tuition is fully funded by the U.S. Navy in return for active-duty service after graduation.

School Description

The United States Naval Academy is located in Annapolis, Maryland, where the Severn River meets the Chesapeake Bay, approximately 33 miles east of Washington. A tradition on campus is the Ring Dance, when second-class midshipmen receive their class rings. Notable alumni include former U.S. President Jimmy Carter; astronaut Alan Shepard, the first American in space; U.S. Sen. John McCain; NASA Administrator Charles Bolden; and former presidential candidate Ross Perot.

    A program focusing on the principles and techniques used to identify, search, seize and analyze digital media and to conduct cyber investigations against criminal and terrorist activity. Includes instruction in computer boot processes and drives, jumper setting, file access and reconstruction, hacking, network systems, cryptography, programming, investigative techniques, forensic imagery, web-based investigation methods, cyberterrorism, and applicable laws and administrative procedures.

    A general program that focuses on the systematic study of the production, conservation and allocation of resources in conditions of scarcity, together with the organizational frameworks related to these processes. Includes instruction in economic theory, micro- and macroeconomics, comparative economic systems, money and banking systems, international economics, quantitative analytical methods, and applications to specific industries and public policy issues.
