School Description

Union College was founded in 1795, and was the first college chartered by the Board of Regents of the State of New York. The college has seen major growth throughout the years, and it is still growing, with the recent additions of academic programs in fields that include Asian Studies, Bioengineering, and Nanotechnology.

Union College has over 2,000 students that represent 39 US states and territories, and 37 different countries. Students live on campus for the entirety of their studies, and there are many different ways for them to be active on campus. Students can find over 100 campus clubs, and they engage in the Minerva Program which is a campus wide system that assigns students to one of seven houses.

            It is small enough that you mostly know everyone there. The staff are very knowledgeable and give the students lots of opportunities to participate in their own education. The staff are available to assist students.
