Trine University is a private higher education institution, set in a 450-acre campus in Angola, Indiana. The university offers Bachelor of Arts, and Bachelor of Science in fields that include; Business, Engineering, and Health Sciences. School Description

Trine University was founded in 1884 as Tri-State Normal College. In 1902, the School of Engineering was established, and four years later, Tri-State Normal College became Tri-State College. The 60's saw major growth for the college's campus with the addition of seven residence halls. It gained university status in 1975 and changed its name to Tri-State University. In 2008, it honoured two trustees; Drs. Ralph and Sheri Trine, by renaming the university to Trine University.

This is evident by the fact that 4.9% of the students at Trine are international students, who come from 19 different countries.
