You know what I remember and like the most about Oneonta was the place. The school was beautiful, the city was beautiful. We lived there for a while after getting out of school, and we often talk about going back. Education is solid, particularly if you are looking to be a teacher, or certain majors. I can recall changing my major to communication studies midway through my junior year in 1989-90. Along with serving on The State Times staff for three years, It was the best move I ever made at Oneonta. I admired every professor I had and I never missed a class. The classes were engaging, and my professors' enthusiasm was infectious. Too often after graduation, I've heard colleagues say they use nothing they studied while in college. I use what I learned every day.
