Staffordshire University - Bachelor's Degree
Staffordshire University was founded in 1914 with the vision to be modern, relevant and vocationally inspired; this same vision carries on today. The University initially challenged and pushed the mining and ceramics industries forward but today it focuses on everything from Computer Games Design to Forensic Science.
In the 1960s Staffordshire became the pioneers of Computing teaching in the UK. In 2013 it signalled its intent to become a UK Centre of Excellence in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) with the launch of its flagship Science Centre. The Science Centre houses all of the University’s science teaching and research endeavours across forensics, environmental and biomedical sciences, as well as psychology and sports science and biomechanics.
Some notable Staffordshire alumni include John Mayock, Athlete and Olympian; David Bolt, Academic specialising in literature and disability; Ian McMillan, Poet; Jermaine Allen, American football running back and Paul Reilly, Computer scientist.
