            1948-1952, Bachelor of Arts

Grounded in History yet Modern as TomorrowYYMy time there was not long enough, but long enough to produce endless memories and friendships. In my "era" Mary Berry Hall was considered a relic, but my mother in law, Reba Fudge Booth Foster amused me by stating it was a relic when she went there! Much progress since her time and my time, creating a school outstanding in every way: campus beauty and education and cultural opportunities!

Small Town to Successful GraduateYComing from a small town, Simpson was perfect for me. The campus is beautiful and small enough where I felt like I could always get to class on time. I met a lot of great people while studying numerous subjects in and outside of my chosen major, participating in intramurals or sport teams, or in the living areas. The faculty is awesome and really gets to know you. I was in the communications field, and the professors give you realistic standards for what you need to do to be successful in the classroom and out in the real world. No matter what your interests, there is something on campus for you to be a part of.

            1987-1991, Bachelor of Arts

Small School Yields Big EffectsYI am so fortunate to have spent my 4 years at Simpson College. A small, private, liberal arts college yielded me a lifetime of education, opportunities, and friendships. Simpson's liberat arts program entitled me to education outside of core curriculum's. I was able to step outside of the normal education enviornment and receive one on one dialougue in my classes, opportunities to study abroad (not nearly what is available to today's Simpson students), take classes that provided diversity, and stimulated conversation. Due to the small student population, Simpson was selective in their student body. Leadership was huge on campus, and it provided me opportunities to get involved in areas I never thought I would. My years at Simpson are near and dear to my heart. I would never change those 4 years in my life.
