School Description

Roanoke College, founded in 1842, is an independent, coeducational, liberal arts college of 2,000+ undergraduate students who come from 42 states and 32 countries. Roanoke is the second-oldest Lutheran related college in the United States and the college has a long history of enrolling international students. The first Mexican student enrolled in 1876 and was followed by the first Japanese student in 1888. Scholarships and financial aid opportunities are available for highly qualified international applicants. Situated near the breath-taking Blue Ridge Mountains with views as uplifting as the people are genuine and friendly, Roanoke was ranked the 18th most beautiful campus by The Princeton Review (2012).
