Rio Hondo College serves the communities of Whittier, Pico Rivera, Santa Fe Springs, El Monte and South El Monte. The college offers many strong career-technical programs, such as nursing, fire and police academies, automotive and alternative fuels, and a full transfer curriculum.

School Description

Rio Hondo is in the midst of modernizing its campus for 21st century and learning. New construction is underway on campus, made possible by a $245 million bond measure. In fall 2014, Rio Hondo College launched the Law School Pathway initiative and created the first cohort of students interested in pursuing legal careers. Rio Honda is one of 24 community colleges statewide to be a Law School Pathway college, in partnership with six law schools in California.
