There are no reviews for Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute yet,
be the first one to review.

          • Testimony
            1964-1968, BS, Geology

When I entered RPI as a freshman, I was unprepared by my high school for the level of expertise expected of the student. I started off with a lot of academic difficulty, however, I was with the aid of my fraternity brothers and the faculty to graduate in the standard 4 years. The education that I received I used over the next 42 years until I retired; even now I use much of the knowledge that I gleaned at RPI in the jewelry business. A fantastic school to acquire the knowledge and skills to be successful in life.

          • Testimony
            1963-1968, BS in Management

That's the school's motto and it is representative of the alumni. Another word would be tenacity. Rensselaer is a tough school, and every graduate demonstrates that they don't give up and they get the job done. When I see Rensselaer on a resume, it is a recommendation to hire.

          • Testimony
1994-1998, BS, Computer & System Engineering

Most universities have great resources but not all of them have the support structure in place to make sure that the students make use and get the most out of those resources. I did not get lost in the huge population like some of my high school colleagues did at their more populated and "popular" engineering schools. Secondly when you get out in the field RPI has just as much if not more respect in the engineering industry than some of the more popular universities. A great place to learn, bring your warm clothes :-)
