Northern Kentucky University (NKU) is home to approximately 14,000 students from over 61 countries and offers bachelor’s degree courses in a wide range of subject areas including accounting, business administration, entrepreneurship/entrepreneurial studies, marketing, journalism, information technology, computer and information sciences, electrical, electronic and communications engineering technology, mathematics, philosophy, physics, and psychology. NKU has on-campus accommodation for new students. With over 7 halls and 2,000 beds, old and students are guaranteed a space that suits their needs. NKU has an amazing Campus Recreation Center designed to encourage fitness, sports and socializing. Some of the facilities available in the center include a 1/9 mile track with amazing views of campus; Over 125 Cardio Equipment in a 17,000 square feet of state-of-the-art cardio, weight and circuit training space; 2 Racquetball Courts; 6 Basketball Courts convertible for Volleyball And Badminton; Training Area with Core Bags, Medicine Balls, Box Masters, Plyo Boxes, studio spaces group fitness classes like yoga, cycling, and TRX; bouldering wall for mountain climbing enthusiasts and much more. NKU has 12 Fraternities, 9 Sororities, and 18 religious organizations. NKU has a Student to faculty ratio of 19:1, average class size of 20 and a 90% acceptance rate. NKU also has a vibrant student union body which provides additional facilities and sees that students’ welfare is taken care of. The body has 17 awesome spots on campus to eat.
