          • Testimony
            1997-2001, English Language & Literature/Letters

"During my time at Maryville College, I once heard a guest lecturer say, "The purpose of liberal arts education is to furnish your mind in such a way as to make it a place you'd like to live for the rest of your life." That is exactly what Maryville College helped me achieve. The MC curriculum helps students develop a mature perspective on the world and our place in it. More importantly, I learned how to learn -- a skill that is useful in every vocation. I still cherish the relationships I have with my fellow alums and with faculty who continue to invest in the lives of students today. I am proud to be an MC alumna and would recommend this school to anyone who desires the total liberal arts experience and the one-on-one enrichment that comes with the small campus environment."

          • Testimony
            1998-2001, Theater, Religion

"I am an alumna of Maryville College and I would highly recommend it to anyone. My brother is also a MC alum, and we both received the highest caliber of education and expertise in our respective fields, the arts and the sciences. At Maryville, you do not just get the best in courses and instructors, but you learn about life, ethics, how to be a good person and find meaning and purpose in the world around you. I wouldn't trade my time at MC for anything in the world."

          • Testimony
            1982-1986, Biology, Chemistry, English Literature

"I spent some time at Maryville. I was a soccer player, but mainly a biology student who got to learn the piano and sociology and business administration under professors who had travelled not only to my own foreign land but also beyond. I did graduate in biology, but when I left the United States I was infinitely richer. I was rich enough that now I'm going to do everything I can to send my children to Maryville College. Although I was a biology student, with wonderful teachers, one of my English literature professors convinced me to lean toward poetry. Dr Fowler. And I did. And I've never done or felt better."
