Kiuna Institute - Bachelor's Degree

The opening of the Kiuna Institution is the result of long-drawn effort and toil, driven by one vision: to provide this generation with the tools to take on the challenges ahead, be it on the individual, community or national level

School Description

Although being open to all Quebec students, the institution houses a sixty students primarily First Nations across Quebec. Currently, led by Associate Director Prudence Hannis, Kiuna is the result of ten years of work of the Council team in the First Nations Education Council (FNEC). The objective is simple: to provide the youth of First Nations with a college specifically devised for them and a learning environment that takes into account their cultural specificities, social background and interests.
