School Description

Keuka College was founded in 1890 by George Harvey Ball - a Baptist minister with a vision to provide accessible, quality education to young men, and women of all socioeconomic backgrounds. In 1924, Keuka College emerged as a women’s college after the end of WW I. A big highlight for the school was Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s visit in 1963, during which the civil rights leader received an honorary doctorate of letters degree, and delivered the baccalaureate address.

The school has changed significantly since its earlier days; transforming itself into a co-educational institute. It has many partnerships with overseas campuses, three in China, and three in Vietnam, and boasts stellar facilities. It leverages its economic presence to support local businesses in the area, and its year-long variety of events are popular with locals, and visitors alike.

There are over 1,100 undergraduate and postgraduate students currently enrolled at Keuka College, with international students making 10% of that population. Future students have a lot to look forward to on campus: Besides the reputable faculty, and intimate class settings, students can enjoy weekend adventure trips, join the athletic team, see concerts, participate in game nights, become a member of a student organization, or even just explore the region. Academic support (in the form career services, for instance) and the Health and Counseling Center are also there to aid students along their academic journey.
