HU provided me with a great business and technology foundation to build upon. The business school in particular fostered a great environment for learning and provided a sound understanding of the intricacies of the global economy.

1982-1984, Master of Education (M.Ed.), Student Counseling and Personnel Services
I came from a small town in South Jersey. Howard afforded me numerous leadership opportunities that helped shape the professional confidence and skills that I display today each time I walk into a room. I developed life long friendships with individuals who like myself have a commitment to changing our communities and the world through our professional work and endeavors. Howard University instilled in us the idea that it was and is our obligation to "give back" to the world community what we learned through our educational experiences at "The Mecca." So everywhere I travel and every place I look I find scholars, judges, doctors, educators, politicians, clergy, writers, actors, entertainers, athletes and more who are Howard University Alumni and friends. I am so happy I left a small town in South Jersey and so proud I attended Howard University, my alma mater!
