College of the North Atlantic was established in 1997 as the product of the union between 5 different colleges that each have been spreading its educational reach around the province since early 1960s. Today, College of the North Atlantic is among Atlantic Canada's largest post-secondary institutions, training some 25,000 students each year in the areas of academics, applied arts, tourism, business, information technology, engineering technology, natural resources, health sciences, and industrial trades.
With 17 campus across the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, College of the North Atlantic offers up to 100 full-time and 300 part-time programs through 5 colleges. It is also committed to providing a socially and culturally diverse learning opportunity for its students through a variety of university partnerships in China, as well as a technical college branch in the state of Qatar. The province of Newfoundland and Labrador is also a great destination for international students.
