The nursing program prepares students for a career in healthcare, taking care of others. A traditional nursing program typically takes four years to complete, with 12 to 14 credits per semester. It can take longer or shorter, depending on the specific path students choose to take as well as their previous education or professional background.
Throughout the duration of the program, students will gain a foundation in the liberal arts curriculum as well as build a strong science background. Learning consists of classroom lectures, laboratory exercises and hands-on training in a clinical setting. Seniors may also have the opportunity to study abroad for a semester or spend spring break taking care of others in clinics in other parts of the world.
Graduates of the nursing program may choose to continue their studies and earn their master’s degree. This degree is available in a variety of topics, and the program prepares students for a career in the area of their choosing.Apply Now
