School Description

Capital University was founded in 1830 and follows a deep rooted Luthernan tradition of ‘celebrating the world and our lives as God’s gift’. The University is the oldest private, four-year undergraduate institute and a graduate school, in Central Ohio. It offers its students an opportunity to experience a hands-on and active learning environment that allows them to undertake internships, research projects and partake in community service. The University recognises the fact that many students might be unsure as to what path to take during their undergraduate journey which is why the University allows first year students to ‘taste test’ various courses from different departments, participate in innumerable campus activities and hold discussions with their advisor, to ensure that students take the right steps towards a suitable academic path.

For 91 years the University has continually been accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. Capital University’s programs are also recognised by various other accrediting bodies, a few of them being: the American Association of Colleges and Nursing, American Chemical Society, National Association of Schools of Music; and the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).

Small school in the heart of it all. I can't count how many good times I had here. Great small school in the heart on Columbus area. Bexley is a great little community and I loved the small atmosphere. If I had to do it again I would definitely return. Great, caring professors.
