It was hard for me moving from the city of Monrovia in Liberia, West Africa at the University of Liberia (with over 60,000 students) for a small town university like Asbury. But I have learned a lot and enabled me to fully invest myself in my learning resources, school's student government and extra-curicular activities, and the people around me. Being here at Asbury University has been an opportunity I am ever grateful for. Its worth the experience.

When I traveled some 500 miles to Asbury for the first time I was terrified. I didn't know how to study, I couldn't really put a proper sentence together and I had not confidence generally in my academic skills. Over the course of a couple of years and many teachers I found the ability to learn and think in a way I didn't know I had. Moreover, Asbury taught me there was a way to be a person. I felt cared for and made life long friends there. I can't imagine my life without having Asbury as a part of my personal history. A few years ago I was pulling out pictures and found my diploma for my graduate degree and realized that I found my experience at Asbury of more value to me than the advanced degree that came years after it. YYAsbury will always be one of the best decisions I have ever made.

I've been back to campus several times since graduating, and the place I always long to revisit is Hughes Auditorium. God did so many great things for me during chapel. The worship was moving. The teaching was inspiring. Both were world class. Chapel was only one piece of the great education and life-time friendships I found there. I am grateful for it all, but for some reason when I think of Asbury University, I almost always think first of the great experiences and learnings that happened during chapel.
