Computer Applications (Arizona State University)
The Arizona State University four-year BS degree in applied computing provides training for real-world computer science applications. This program requires 120 credit hours and can generally be broken down into eight school terms. The foundational coursework laid by a degree in applied computing prepares students for jobs in competitive fields such as analytics, computer security, app design, networking and social media.
Classwork places an emphasis on critical thinking. Students will apply their knowledge through writing scientific research-based papers, giving presentations with posters and through computer mediums, and by displaying problem-solving abilities. As students continue through the program, they will explore multiple avenues in modern computer application.
