School Description

American University is located in the capital of the United States, which means that students interested in politics can view national political landmarks and monuments that include, Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument, and of course the White House. Because of its proximity to the political capitol of the US, the students at AU were ranked 4th most politically active students in 2014 by the Princeton Review.

American University has over 7000 bachelor degree seeking students, with 129 countries represented. The Office of Campus Life at AU has 13 different departments, which are all there to support and assists students. Part of that is the University Center, which houses the more than 200 student organizations.
