Babson College
School Description
Babson College traces its early beginnings from the year 1919, when it first opened its doors to just 27 students as the Babson Institute. Named after the owners of the home in which the classes were first held, Roger and Grace Babson, it aimed to provide students with basic training in the important functions of business such as production, finance, and distribution in just one academic year instead of four.
Today, Babson College is home to approximately 3,000 students representing over 80 countries from across the world. It is composed of 10 academic divisions through which it offers a variety of baccalaureate studies in up to 27 concentrations such as accounting, arts & humanities, entrepreneurship, history, math & science, technology, among many others. It also offers 4 master's degree programs with concentrations in areas such as business, finance, and accounting.
