Software Engineering (Arizona State University)
The four-year Bachelor of Science program of software engineering at Arizona State University provides students with the skills and knowledge to solve today’s problems with creative solutions. Each student designs their course of study, focusing primarily on embedded systems or mobile and web applications. Then the secondary area is chosen from interdisciplinary knowledge for their design. There is an option for an accelerated bachelor’s and master’s degree program.
Throughout the program, students learn software construction, engineering, project leadership and computing. With the millions of code lines in a software program, the curriculum is project driven. The student learns by doing with discovery-based education and hands-on experience. Graduates can use the undergraduate program skills to further their study in an allied field or computing.
Graduates can use the degree in a variety of ways to improve the lives of millions by creating new technologies. Students are prepared to immediately enter the workforce upon graduation. The Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET accredits the program.
ASU's academic programs are spread across campuses in the Phoenix Metropolitan Area; however, unlike most multi-campus institutions, the campuses of ASU are all individually different- each has its own distinct function to fulfill in line with the university's mission.Read more About this school
