Program Description

This course of study requires 120 credit hours and can typically be completed in four years. Science majors study a range of exciting natural phenomena as they explore, research and experiment in biology, chemistry and other areas. Whether you’re interested in the environment, animals, or microscopic organisms, you’ll enjoy studying science.

Students who complete a BS in science are prepared to continue to pursue education as a dentist, pharmacist or other medical professional. Others can pursue a career as a teacher or researcher. The course begins with a solid foundation of the scientific method, as well as general chemistry and biology concepts. Choose your elective courses to focus your interests and gain more specialized knowledge as you learn how to apply the scientific method to a variety of scenarios. Whether you choose to continue your training in graduate school or start your career after graduation, science is a practical field of study that affects many areas of life.
