Media Production (Arizona State University)
The four-year Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Media Production is offered by Arizona State University’s School of Film, Dance and Theatre.
In this program, students are encouraged to bring their unique and individual stories to life through film and media. Scholars can develop a thorough and practical knowledge base in digital media production, but they will also develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of the role that media plays in society.
Students are required to successfully complete five core film degree classes before they can apply for a studio-based concentration, but most do not generally start studio production work until their third or fourth semester.
Media production students have access to high quality equipment, including digital cameras, sound equipment and lights, and will also be able to access software, facilities and equipment needed for post-production work.
There are three different advanced media production tracks that students can choose from: directing, producing or media technology.
A minimum of 120 credit hours is required to complete this degree.
ASU's academic programs are spread across campuses in the Phoenix Metropolitan Area; however, unlike most multi-campus institutions, the campuses of ASU are all individually different- each has its own distinct function to fulfill in line with the university's mission.Read more About this school
